G'day Sims and welcome. The south island really is motorcycling heaven but where we live on the Coromandel Peninsula ain't bad either

Enjoy the site - great people here.

Thumbs up Ride New Zealand . Live the Dream!

I love the Coromandel, fantastic biking area, if you're ever down Christchurch way you should pop in. We're just north of Christchurch called South Pacific Motorcycle Tours, if you haven't done the Akaroa run you should come with one of us.

Hey Catenaccio, we get a lot of people from out Nevada way, in fact USA and UK are our main guests for motorcycling here in New Zealand. You should come over.

Thanks for that - same for you if you're ever up this way. I was down south for the Southern Cross round NZ in 5 days ride in 2005 (starting at Bluff), and down again in '07 with my mates on the Blackbirds Galore tour: http://geoffjames.blogspot.com/2009/...th-island.html. Was also in Chch in March for our daughter's Master's graduation. Would be down riding again tomorrow if I didn't have other immediate commitments, worse luck!

Hope you guys were ok in the quake aftermath.

Cheers,

Geoff

I admit to being jealous of New Zealanders for their perfect weather. Welcome!
