Got my 2010 matt green Scrambler two months ago in Seattle and just rode it to New York city (in five days). i'm currently in New Jersey and riding my way all the way down the east coast to New Orleans and back across down south to the west coast and back up to seattle. making a dream come true and loving every minute/mile of it...(well almost every mile .. get in touch if you think i might be riding in your area!

Welcome and Wow! Cross country trips on a Scrambler have been done and documented a few times on this site. I'm jealous!

I wish you continued good luck and safety!

Hosted TGE in DC for two nights last weekend so he could see some sights (like the restore Sanity/Fear rally) and plan for the SE part of his trip. Then rode with him down to the start of the Blue Ridge Parkway in VA. Was great to meet you Paul, good conversations, fantastic ride! Hope you enjoyed cruising the BRP and found a place to camp. Keep it rolling rubber side down!

Convinced!

A long time Triumph lover here, have not been on one in years, and have been having the itch lately. It just so happens that the Scrambler has caught my eye, and your little jaunt has pushed me over the edge! I am off to the dealer this afternoon. Have a great trip and I am looking forward to your update and photos.

I will have mine too late to catch you, but if you are ever in "Joisey" again be on the lookout for another matt green scrambler!

Many thanks!

Had a blast in Washington! so, thankyou dcrider. couldn't have asked for a better host. What a ride out to Virginia! Perfect weather, great company and great pizza. I rode the Blue ridge parkway for about 160 miles and set up my tent at the rocky knob campground with the last few minutes of daylight to spare. Probably the best ride i've ever had that day. Sunshine, plenty of smooth twisty road with nice incline camber on most of the sharp turns allowing for a lot of fun and maybe even a wee bit of peg contact
Continued on early the next morning after a chilly night. Pulled off the parkway at about the 200 mile marker and took 601 into north Carolina headed for mocksville to visit a friend. Next stop will be the outer banks on the N Carolina coast and down into S Carolina.

N.B. I replaced my rear tire last week in Baltimore. The trailwing was looking a little thin in the middle after 6,500 miles, most of that packing about 100 pounds on the back. i put on an Avon Distanzia. still a dual purpose tire but a bit more long distance roadtrip worthy than the Bridgestone. Definitely a different feel with the new tire.. a little smoother on the highway and better handling on sharper turns and very grippy on the tarmac. looking forward to giving it the off road test

i will be posting some pictures as soon as i figure out how it's done on here..
