Greetings from Northern CA!

Greetings all! Just retired my trusty old Bonneville after 37 years and bought a Thunderbird - it's a whole new day! Lots to learn on the new bike, hoping this site will answer a few questions for me. Looking forward to the annual Street Vibes motorcycle show in Reno next month, too, wondering if Triumph will be represented. We'll see.....

Welcome - where are you riding in NorCal?

I wouldn't expect a factory presence at Street Vibrations, although I've never gone. It's always struck me as more of a Harley/chopper sort of event than something Triumph would be interested. Sadly, Triumph doesn't even have a factory presence at the annual bike show in San Mateo.

Welcome MotorMac! Congrats on the Thunderbird!

If you get 37 years out of your new bike, you'll be way old when it wears out!

Just saying...

Welcome to www.triumphrat.net MotorMac and congrats on your new purchase. Nothing wrong with an old 37-year old Bonneville, but I am sure you will enjoy the freedom that new technology will give you -- handling, power and BRAKES! Best! >Deano

Beautiful riding you've got up there! Welcome to the site!

I won't stop riding because you tell me about someone who died in an accident, just as I won't stop eating because someone died of e.coli.

Zelatore, I'm in the Sierra foothills between Reno NV and Sacramento (aka Sacto) CA. (And, uh, Catenaccio, yeah! That's what I told the dealer, I want 37 years out of this new T-bird ;-) Would be in Northern AZ near Prescott if I had my druthers..... but CA is spectacular, too.
Thank you one and all! Always on the lookout for Brit bikes, see you at some Toy Run or rest stop someday.

That's an excellent area for riding. Heck, we've done a few rides through there this summer, and once I recover from my last ride (it didn't quite turn out as planned) I'll be heading through there again.

There are several members here in the Sacto area - we'll be watching for any random Tbirds...
