New owner of a 97 Daytona

Just bought me a 97 daytona, that needs a little work I hope to get to know some of you and enjoy this place.

Congratulations; those are great bikes. I used to have a '98. If you need some advice, there's lots to be had in the Daytona Deliberations forum.

I won't stop riding because you tell me about someone who died in an accident, just as I won't stop eating because someone died of e.coli.

welcome to the fold, i got my `96 d9 (yellow of course...) from stafford show last october. 2500 miles later and still stunned by the grunt. not forgetting that these beasts can also bang along at some pretty impressive mph`s.
i`m currently working on the cosmetics, can`t seem to find anything to do mechanically.
Did a 450 mile tour of wales over easter; totally faultless and nudging 50mpg.
I never thought that when i had a threesome it would be the number of pistons in my engine !
