I am now the happy owner of a 1971 Daytona T100R. I have a friend who moved over from Germany in 1981 and she brought the bike with her. I'm not sure what happened, X troubles I guess but the bike didn't arrive in a usable state so it's been setting untill now. Right off the bat the front end looks wrong, kind of like a Rickman with a 19" rim and a large conical hub. When I get some pictures taken maybe we can play " what the heck is that? " I don't think the bing carbs are correct either, I have the front license plate but I don't think it will fit on the front fender, the tank is a Triumph tank but looks to be two inches too long. The list goes on and on! My last Triumph I bought new in 1978 when I lived in Wichita,Ks., Brown and gold T140E. My brother dropped me off at the Number One Cycles dealership early in the morning and I put 500 miles on it by midnight. I hadn't been aware how much I missed it untill today.

Wow; you've got your work cut out for you. I'm sure the folks over in the Vintage and Veterans forum will be able to help you out. Welcome to the forum!

I won't stop riding because you tell me about someone who died in an accident, just as I won't stop eating because someone died of e.coli.
