Sprin ST Instrument Fault

Can anyone helpd me, I have started getting some type of electrical fault with my Dash. The Fuel Gauge first of all started showing full all the time except when the ignition is off. The floa appears to be working fine. The rev counter now appears o have a mind of its own and a anypoint will suddenly jump up or down as does he temperature gauge. At the moment they are both sitting on zero bu I am sure hey will spring into life.

Before all this started happening I had a flat battery and jumped it off of my car but didn't notice anyhing wrong.
Does anyone have any Ideas. I have checked for loose wires and also earthing faults but there are none I can see or find.

Dave
