Out of Retirement.......

This is my first post. Woke up the other day missing my '75 Trident after 30 years. Next thing I know, I'm buying a 2008 T100. It's all stock. I'm in love again. Been reading all about the popular mods and think I've got what I want pinned down. I am confused about removal of the air box. Some say it'll compromise around town ride-ability, some seem to disagree. I'll probably be doing mostly urban riding with occasional weekend road trips. I'm leaning toward the Togas. I don't wanna do anything overly radical to my new bonnie but love the way the Togas sound. Will be hoping for some sound, common sense advice from some of you hard core bonnie mechanics!
