Hello from New Jersey

Hey all,

I just picked up a slightly damaged 07 T100 with only 150 miles on the clock. Bike was in an accident on its third ride out and has been collecting dust in my buddys garage ever since. I finally got tired of it rotting away and convinced him to let me buy it.

I'm looking forward to getting her back together and getting her through the break in period like what should have happened 3 years ago.

Have you named it yet? Because I bet that bike has named you 'savior.' Good for you. Was the accident serious?

Welcome to the forum!

I won't stop riding because you tell me about someone who died in an accident, just as I won't stop eating because someone died of e.coli.

Accident wasn't too serious but the insurance did total it for some reason. The front wheel, forks, lower triple, and handle bars were damaged along with the headlight. As of right now all I need is the front axle, lower triple and the chrome ring that goes around the headlamp glass.

Are there any resources for OEM triumph parts besides the dealer? My local dealer is closed today and I'm willing to bet the prices for what I need will be considerably more then what they should be.

I'm gonna wait to ride her before giving her a name. Gotta see what her personality is like, ya know what I mean.

Welcome! Good to see another S. Jersey rider. Try Bike Bandit for any OEM parts you need. Website: http://www.bikebandit.com/ Parts are readily available. BTW - Congrats on the '07 T100. Great bike...one of the best! My wife bought the exact bike, new in '07. Black and white. Classic! She's replacing the small wind deflector with a taller windshield this year. It's a nice addition for warm weather riding. If you're interested send me a pm. Good luck w/ the Bonnie. I think you'll enjoy it. - Jim

Welcome mdriver! I'd love to have a bike to start at ground zero and build up like yours! Enjoy!
