New and Enthused/Confused

Looking for my first bike. I'm smitten with the Scrambler, intimdated by the Thruxton and overwhelmed with the Bonneville.
This forum seems to have a wide range of info to help out with my choice.
After sitting on a few bikes the other day, i think the Thruxton is out of the question (for now). The Scramblers are tough to find for the right price-- probably looking at an '09. And of all of the Bonnies, the T100 felt best. -- Now I have to wait until my dealer gets the Jet Black.

Welcome to the site I have a t-100 bonnevile which is my favorite to ride a great handler and I also bought an America when I want to be rowdy...LOL. My brother just purchased a Bonnie SE, has a smaller front wheel, turns a bit quicker bike his is black with some custom goodies on it ...recently I saw a dealer in my area selling a Black one (2009) for $6199 which I though was very reasonable...Choices ,choices,choices..have fun!!

Hello, and congratulations on having good taste! I love all three of the modern classics, but went with a 2008 Bonnie T100. I love the bike, and would recommend it highly. I felt that the Scrambler and the Thruxton were a bit too tall for me at the time. I really don't think you can go wrong with any of them. Once the Bonnie is paid for, I might consider buying a Tiger...

Thanks for all the encouragement. My local dealer just told me he might be getting the Jet Black T100 in sometime this month or the next. That satifies my sizing issue and my preference for an all black tank, blacked out motor and spoked wheels. Too bad I won't get 2009 pricing on that.
I've seed a couple posts on this forum where dealers swap out tanks with other bikes... While it certainly seems feasible, is that something that happens often? It could be the kind of nudge that gets me to sign on the dotted line sooner rather than later. I'm just sayin'...
