new member with problem

Have an 04 bonneville that will only ride on choke. Idles fine even with choke off but dies on take off. I limped it home by pulling the choke all the way out and just running it that way, but even then when I tried to give it gas it wanted to sputter out. Was wondering if anybody else has had this issue. This is only it's second time out for the season the first ride being only 5 miles or so during which it ran fine. I was thinking maybe clogged jets or possibly an air leak, but I checked all around the intakes and didn't notice anything. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks -brian
