An Introduction ..

My name is Garry and I live in Chandler Arizona. I ride a 2008 Sprint ST ABS and this is my third ST in the past eleven years. I originally had a 1999 Blue 955 ST which I sold in 2002. Had a three and a half year break. I missed riding so much that I bought a 2006 Sprint ST ABS and I just loved what Triumph had done with it. Didn't much like the color so I traded up to a dark blue, 2008 ST ABS.

I originated in the UK and my first bike was a CBR600 which I bought in 1993.

I moved to the USA in 1994 and bought a CBR600F3 which was nice enough, but you really had to wind that thing up to get it to perform.

That's about it.

I am particularly interested in meeting other Triumph (ST etc) riders in the Phoenix metropolitan area. I'd like to go riding. I am not a speed junkie and would like to ride with people who are not constantly flouting the law. Having said that, I'm not a complete buzzkill either and do enjoy high speed and acceleration where it is safe to do so.

Year round rider ....

Hi Catenaccio,

First of all, thank you for your welcome message.

In answer to your question, "yes" I am an all year rider. I use my bike predominantly for commuting and get to ride it out for fun at the weekends. The summers here in Arizona (as I am sure you are aware) can be brutal (112+ degrees F), but using a fully vented jacket and helmet goes a long way to make the high summer manageable.

We don't really get that much of a Winter here and I don't usually take the bike out in the wet. Mainly because of all the oil deposits on the road and not the rain itself. Although I have done my fair share of wet riding, coming from the UK.

Best Regards
