Question Trident 900 Forks

Morning All

Ok my 97 Trident's forks are past best. The fork seals have gone in both legs, the stanchions "might" need replacing if i cant rescue them (small amount of pitting) and they are a bit soft for my weight anyway (19St)

Obviously i know they can be rebuilt etc (but could be costly £150 for a rebuild, plus 2 stanchions £100 a side) , but is there another cheaper option?

Would another fork from something else drop in without too much work, for example the fork of a T595 Daytona ?

Just looking at my options, any suggestions welcome.

Cheers

I dropped in a set of forks that I got from eBay from a speed triple. It gave me full adjustability.

I too installed a T3 Speed Triple (or Daytona) fork on my Sprint. The cartridge fork is a nice upgrade. The triple trees are also different, steepening the leg angle a bit. Bought them on ebay a decade ago for maybe US$180. I installed new seals and bushings before mounting everything up, still going strong!
