I just replaced mine and still have the old gasket to measure. I'm getting between 0.022" and 0.027".

Thats a great resource, Kit, thanks for going to the trouble, as I recall, many years back I trained as a mechanic and we used a ball peign hammer to shape the gasket paper around the actual component that you are sealing, you have to be very gentle though ! much better to have the items drawn for you like they are here. If youre using the photocopier at work to print this stuff off you might have to experiment with the reduce/enlarge button as I doubt that it will print exactly 1;1 scale but I might be wrong.

I changed my sprocket cover gasket a couple of days ago - printed on a laser printer using Kits' template - so far so good. Just for info the printer is a HP 2600n and I used the manual feed function and I believe the paper I used is .8mm

Sweet! Thanks for the followup, Nobeard!

BTBM- Any modern printer (or even copier) should do 1:1 / 100% no problem. There are designers out there who would go on killing sprees over half a percentage point of reduction or enlargement!

Cheers,
-Kit

Hi all. I tried to print these templates out, but tried on paper first. I went to line them up and they dont seem to fit together. Like the clutch cover, the two pieces just wont match! Please let me know if i am doing somehting wrong!!!

IIRC, there should be some overlap if it's a multi-page scan. Not sure what else to say; it may not be perfect. My plan was to spray-glue regular prints to the gasket paper, then cut out; I didn't even think of printing directly onto the gasket paper until someone else mentioned it.

If all else fails, I wonder if you couldn't lay the cover flat on the gasket material and wallop it with a rubber hammer...

Cheers,
-Kit

Thanks for stepping up, Dave!

PB, not sure what to say. I just re-downloaded the files and verified that they work on my system, maybe you need to update your zip software?

Cheers,
-Kit
