Bar End Mirrors?

With riding season beginning again, I found myself looking for a project, and immediately thought about the mirrors. Any recommendations on a good looking set of bar-end mirrors? I used to hate em' but the look has grown on me, and I HATE the factory mirrors.

How are the Triumph OEM accessory ones? The only thing I noticed was the gloss finish, which I'm not 100% on...

Around how much should this upgrade cost me?

They are 120 bucks each according to the USA webpage.
You have to choose carefully in order to choose the right one for your handlebar (assuming that you still keep the original one). You can also check the rizoma bar ends, they have a handful of options, in different shapes, and with great finishing, although at least as expensive as the triumph ones. The problem is that i think that most of them won't fit the stock handlebar.

When the new electric Harley tour was happening 2 years ago they had low mounted mirrors, just like that. I sat on the bikes and played with the electric engine (bikes were on stands and you could actually start them and "rev" them). Mirrors were useless- you cannot see a thing because your arms are blocking direct sightline. Bad idea in my opinion.

I don't know why I am agonizing over this so bad.. LOL But I've yet to make up my mind...

I like the OEM Triumph Bar ends, because they are Triumph OEM. I know they are good quality, and will fit without issue. Plus, I have nearly every other bit of Triumph farkle...On the other hand I like the sleeker look of the CRG Arrow's, and the idea of something a little more 'custom'...There is the price difference to consider, but its not so big that it's driving my thought one way or the other.

All of you with Triumph Bar Ends, or CRG Arrow's post em' up! Which did you go with and why? Love em', hate em'?

I need to make up my mind, before the wife realizes I'm spending money on bike stuff again! :grin2:

Edit: I wonder if these Adapters would work for the CRG's? They are cheaper than the Rhino's and reuse the original screw from the end cap.

Between these and a source for the CRG's on Amazon the price is now within $15 of the Triumph OEM bar ends...

These are the Rhino's that were recomended in another thread:

Keep in mind the Arrows have convex glass. This gives you a much wider view at the expense of size. Everything is much smaller. This may be great for you or you may hate it. The Arrows also flip up easily which can be handy when parking. The Triumph OEMs give you the option of running them "in" for lanesplitting, looks, and a narrower profile for parking, or "out" for better visibility. I have the Triumphs since by bike came with them.

I've ridden bikes with each and they're both very high quality pieces.

I have the Arrows and love them. After about 3 years the anodizing is beginning to fade just a bit, though. Not bad enough for me to do anything about it yet, but maybe next winter I see about cerakoting them. I'm one of those guys who bought the CRG internal adapters and modified them to fit my bar. It was very easy - just a maybe a minute or so with a hacksaw on each one.

I ended up ordering a set of the Triumph OEM mirrors. There were just too many 'what if's' with the other aftermarket options. Multiple bar end adapters, hardware issues, fit & finish etc. I know the OEM's will go on without issue. I'll put some pics up once I have them installed.

Big thanks to everyone who provided input to the discussion! :thumb

If you deicide to reconsider or if anyone else is interested, I have a pair of CRG Blindsights that I would sell for $50 for the pair. Only used them for about 6 months and still look brand new. And for the 13+ Street Triples this adaptor works perfectly. http://www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/british-customs-78-flat-bar-end-mirror-adapter

(Ignore the one star review on the adapter, the guy ordered the wrong one as it explicitly says it ships with the M6 blot which is required to fit the Street Triple bar end)

Bonus: Once you have the Triumph adapters, you can most likely get any mirrors you want, if you decide you don't like the Triumphs.

I used the CRG Arrow mirrors on a Ninja 650 cafe project, and they were very good quality, and provided good, clear visibility. I like them for their appearance, and because CRG offers repair parts, so you won't have to buy the entire mirror if you prang one.

BTW, my 650 rolled off its sidestand once, and the the lowside mirror was barely scratched in the resulting fall, so the CRG paint (or anodizing) is very high quality.

I mounted them inside the bar-end weights to narrow the overall width of the bike a little, and still had very good rear visibility.

Anyone know if you can buy the bar mounting hardware for the Triumph mirrors by itself? Previous owner tipped the bike over and scratched up one of my bar ends
