Of All the Things Not to Work on a New Bike

I thought I screwed up setting the clock on my new R.
But I didn't.
It just doesn't keep time.
I assume there's a little coin cell battery in there some where that just isn't cutting it.
I take it in for its first service next week.
Hopefully it's an easy fix.
Anybody ever experience this?

Constant overstimulation numbs me; but I would not want it any other way!

Does the time actually move forward, or is it just stuck on the same hour and minute? When that happened to mine, my whole display had to be replaced under warranty. To make matters worse, the problem slowly turned into a "hold down the starter for 10 seconds for the bike to start" issue. Somehow, these are related.

These new dashes really don't breed much confidence at all... I can't ever remember hearing about so many failures before.

Well, I'm getting my initial service done this coming Tues.
Bloody Tesla, the clock does both things. Sometimes it moves, sometimes it just stays stuck on the same time. Plus, it does take a while to start.
Bummer.
We'll see what happens Tues.
Thanks folks.

My 18 RS takes a while to start occasionally. The other day it cranked so long I was almost ready to push it back into the garage and take the other bike to work instead. Bike is brand new so Iím hoping it is just something minor like bad gas.

Quick update:
Talked to the Triumph service guy about this issue.
He knew all about the problem and started a warranty claim for me.
The new console should be at the dealership in time for my 500 mile service.
Great!
And a big shout out to Cross Country Triumph in Metuchen, NJ.
No hassles whatsoever.
Hopefully the new console isn't faulty also!
I'll update again after my service on Fri.
