I took off the end cap and there was about an inch of exposed bar at the end and the screw housing. I tried to slide the mirrors on the exposed bar at the end, however it was not wanting to slide on and I didn't want to force it. I ended up putting the caps that came with the kit and just attached the mirrors to that, however the exposed bar is still there. Is there something else I need to do for fitment? Any help is appreciated!

Thanks!
Ethan
I canít help you with your mirrors, but DAMN does that red stitching on the seat look good!

Really? It doesn't look very "generic" - like an SAE connector. Is there a specific tender they are hoping you will buy?

Googling...

It appears they want you to buy theirs, A9930412, which is a Triumph branded TecMate Optimate 3+.

Just because I'm paranoid, it doesn't mean the whole world isn't out to get me.

Wait, how did that get there? Factory installed? Did you buy the bike used?

It could have also been installed by the dealer during the PDI.

Mine came with regular battery plug, not that crazy one. Well, I should check that it doesn't have a second funny one I guess.

My RS came with the same Optimate 3 connector as yours, dealer installed out of the crate.
