Bay Area Riders?

Just curious if anyone on the forum is from the San Fransisco Bay area?

I've been working down here for quite some time and I've seen a silver 05+ ST down here a few times in my various rentals while exploring the back roads. I just rode down from Seattle last weekend and will be keeping the bike here over the winter.

I'd like to get together to chat over a beer and swap stories and ride ideas.

North Bay area would be perfect (I'm a stones throw from Infineon) but I plan on exploring the roads all around the area over the winter.

hey

Hi, I think my buddy talked to you at the Parkway the other night, he said he met a dude with a burgundy sprint with a Trident pipe (he said it sounded awesome).

I live in Oakland, and so far mine is the only ST I've seen around except in the dealership. It's easy to spot because it's got mix and match color fairings (woo salvage title).

There are a ton of good rides in the east/south bay, Redwood, Mines, Bear Creek, Palomares, Alice's etc. There's usually a big group of us that ride on Thursdays in the summer time. Unfortunately the days are short now, so it's weekends or riding in the dark. I know there is a weekly in the east bay that leaves early in the morning on Sundays but I've never been - too lazy.

PM me - like I said I'm not sure how much we'll be riding now that the time is changing, but I can usually rally a few guys for a Saturday or Sunday if the weather is good, and we're always up for beers.

Looks like you've got an IXIL, guess my buddy was mistaken.

SF rider here

Livin' in SF just beyond the Golden Gate Bridge. I've done track days at Infineon and there's lots of great riding in the north counties. Days are shorter now but you can ride most of the year here except those few stretches we sometimes get where it pisses rain for 20 straight days. Aside from that, anything goes. Some nice rides to the south as well (Alice's Restaurant, etc.)

PM if you're up for a weekend ride.

:motorbike::thumbsup:

p.s. Not during football though. :D

I live in San Jose, and I've seen a couple Sprints in the area. Saw a silver 05+ in downtown SJ about 2 weeks ago, it had a topcase and looked nice.

Also ran into a dude from here on an 06(?) burgundy Sprint up at Alice's a month or so ago, I think he said he was from Vancouver and had ridden down to LA and was on his way back home? I forget. If you're reading this, I was the guy on the red 07 that rode right up to where you were parked. :)

When's the next Garlic fries run, Denman? :) And yes, Saturday morning rides sure - Sundays are bad until January, haha.

Let the first rains finish washing the oil and slime off the roads but I'm always ready for garlic fries. We'll see how the weather goes these next few days but maybe this month. Ducky is still around (doesn't post much any more) and so is Bob - Goin Postal so it could happen.

AND REMEMBER TO VOTE TOMORROW! :policeman:

C"mon down, there's plenty of beer and twisties to go 'round. Check out this map. It has a lot of good loops from around the bay area.

Hey Duckie, you wake up early form your hibernation? Wait, ducks don't hibernate do they? Aren't you supposed to be in Capistrano or something? :p
