tires

I have a 2001 Sprint ST. Any recommendations on a good tire for long trips that would work well in the rain?

Michelin Road 5 ... Great traction and wear ...

Hi sa1sqh
highly recommend the Michelin Pilot Road 4 or the 5, these are long lasting, superb grip in the wet and steer quickly making the bike fast to turn into corners.

I'm on my 3rd set on my Sprint GT and first set on my '04 Daytona 955i.

Very confidence inspiring wet or dry, I wear all of my tyres on both bikes to the edges front and rear tyres.

cheers

I have Metzeler Roadtech on both my bikes, I put a set on my ZRX and was stoked to find them on my RS when I bought it ... good wear capabilities and fantastic grip wet or dry

I love my Bridgestone Battlax Sport Touring T31 tires.

Excellent in dry and rainy weather. Also has pretty good reviews on multiple sites.

If you can afford them, Pilot 5 is the way forward. Awesome tyres.

Never been one to try the newest of anything. Pretty much stuck with Michelin Pilot Road 2. Older duel compound but they still make em. Run the Pilot Powers on my TT600

Was also fond of Pirelli Angel ST. A little more $$ but lasted long time on my Sprint.

Hi Kubbie

I think I went through about 3-4 sets of the PR 2 on my 955 Sprint ST, I love them too.

Sport track gear has great sales on tires. I got Michelin power 2ct for under $250. But itís all personal and selective taste. Go for the round rubber ones not the stone Fred flintstone ones.
