Rear Brake Pedal Adjustment

Morning all,and Happy Easter.

I wish to lower the Rear Brake Pedal (Sprint GT). I have managed to loosen off the pushrod upper locknut which was very tight but the lower locknut is trapped inside the forked clevis and is therefore impossible to turn. Question, is it permissible to revolve the pushrod to attain the required adjustment.
Thanks.

If it will do it, and you can secure it afterwards.

I probably need an intervention because of the bikes that keep 'following' me home. Current garage:
2001 Daytona 955i, 2 yes two, 2003 Sprint 955i STs (spouse rides one), 2016 Speed Triple, 2001 Kawasaki ZRX 1200R

Problem solved,
Little bit of lateral thinking. Loosen the upper locknut to gain the required pedal position, remove the Clevis Pin retaining clip and the Pin. The Pushrod assembly can now be pushed up to snug against the repositioned upper locknut. Refit the Pin and Retaining Clip.
