Idle speed

According to the Haynes manual the idle speed on my 2001 sprint st 955i should be 1200rpm ( mine bounces between 0-500) explains why I’m cutting out all the time when pulling up and having to stop.. it also states that the idle air control valve cannot be adjusted manually???...
Is this an expensive take it into a triumph dealers to sort it out job or can I really just turn a screw and job done...

What said the manual is very clear (and true).
You need TuneECU plus the fiting cable.

You also may have to check that none of the vacuum tube is clogged and maybe balance the throttle. Usually the iacv figure as seen w/ tuneEcu shoild be around 35 (AFAIR). It's supposed to be self adjusted to reach the correct idle speed though.
So it may be that the throttlebody butterflies are too close. At opposed to post 2002 the throttlebody that havebypass screws, your's must be adjusted by changing the butterfly offset between cyl 1/2 and 2/3.
Should be documented in haynes as well.
