I've recently bought a 1999 Sprint ST trike, and pointing it into corners has become a bit of an issue! Previous owner had put risers and aftermarket fat bars on, which were either catching on the fairing or touching the tank on full lock. I now have them missing both, but it leaves no room for adjustment for rider comfort. Ideally, I would like them to come up and pull back more to put less weight on my wrists. Anybody got any ideas?
That's what I thought. Was wondering whether Tiger 1050 would fit? I know I'm going to have to extend the clutch cable, because it's already stretched too far. Wasn't sure if I'd have to change the switchgear.
i dont have a trike, nor have ever riden a trike. Most i see have a lot of pull back at the bars. I understand riding does not use counter steering so you need to point the front wheel to change direction.
Take a look at pictures of other trikes, see what they have for steering setup.
tha harley tri-glide has a different rake i believe as well.
trikes are a different animal, with the biggest difference in the steering.
there maybe consideration to brake lines and electrical as well.
again, i have never heard of a Sprint Trike until now. and now i have seen one
Thanks all! I think I'm just going to have to bite the bullet, get some bars and hope they will miss the fairing.
Yes, a trike is a surprisingly different animal, I'm developing my own unorthodox riding technique - although trying to get your knee down around corners has little effect! :-S
