I'm relatively new around here, but I have noticed that out of all the forums of all the vehicles I have owned, this is the most devoid of images ever!

Some Triumphs are classic, and some Triumphs are old. Hell, a lot of us that ride them are getting a bit long in the tooth. But the Sprint ST is a very modern fuel injected, computer controlled machine. Let's get with the times guys!

It's not that hard. I am going to post an image I took less than 5 minutes ago.

A. Get cheap digital camera (high quality not needed for Internet)
B. Take shot at low resolution (so as not to hog a lot of space)
C. Transfer it to your PC via the USB cable that came with your cheap camera.
D. Upload it to any of the Image hosting services ( I use Villagephotos, but I think Photobucket is more popular)
E. Copy the URL or "name/location" of the picture.
F. Hit the "image" button down below the "typing" area when you are posting a message.
G. Paste the "name/location" in the little box that appears when you hit the "image" button.
H. Hit OK.

That's it. In the time it took me to type this, Anyone could have posted a bunch of pictures, instead of typing for 30 minutes to describe something simple.

So come on, you Triumph Troglodytes, let's get into the 21st Century!!!

MD

I did see that thread earlier. Very nice. If wife were home to snap the picture, I would get it to you in less than 10 minutes!

What I really mean is not only to show your bike and the places you have been, but mostly so we can help each other with technical questions.

There is a night and day difference between telling someone a 40 minute speil about how to adjust your headlights, or taking a picture and saying "twist this knob".

Know what I mean?

I would accept the offer, but I don't take my bike apart enough to do that much good.

What I had in mind is more like the technical articles that are archived on the FZ1 Owners Association (FZ1OA). Here is one of the pages available. With this page you could do ***** near anything to your bike with absolute confidence.

Click on any of the topics on this page. Click on the pictures.
Everything is documented detail by detail.

Check this out!

There are definitely people here that have the expertise to do something similar with the ST.

Nomad,
some of us have a lot of the type of photo's to which you refer in our albums and frequently either clicky link them in a thread or post the pic into the thread.

cheers,

Glad to see your post. Now I know who to ask for help posting images or urls. WhenI get to step "F" I get a warning about Active x and a null message in the body of the text I am posting to. I have to delete the null and click on the warning for a one time ok to use Active x.
I have run into this on other sites but have the option to permaneltly allow Active x on those sites. For some reason, I do not have a permanent option for this site.
Any advice?
By the way, pictures alone will not get a technical message across. It takes dialogue, supplemented by pictures if necessary.
