A sheepskin cover also makes the GT seat more comfortable, does not get blazing hot in the sun and feels warmer in the winter.

I put my EZ Pass in a tank bag, sitting upright, roughly same position as when it is mounted in the cage. It has worked every time so far. I use the same transponder on 2 motorcycles and a cage, just have to remember whether it is in the tank bag or stuck to the cage windshield.

Exhaust. Trident is a bitch to fit but with the baffle in the sound is just perfect to my ears.

Spacedave - I am a fan of a good quality sheepskin too. Makes a big difference to my comfort and that of the passenger.

vielma - it sounds like you have covered most of the bases. I added bar risers to my GT because I wanted to sit a little more upright while touring - an age thing!

From here, a little bit of bling might be the next step, if that's your thing. On my lovely red 955 the wheel rims were polished and a few other items too, plus polished caps on the swing arm bolt holes etc. My GT had a very slow speed off and also a lie down in the drive, so I am considering a custom repaint because I find the silver very boring. And my 955 looked so good in Tornado Red. Possibly that with some silver and gold fine metallic in it.

@Steve Ford , that'll be something I'll consider *after* this Summer... meaning, I know the bike emits heat like crazy, and so far, with leathers and the current temps (Spring) it has been ok-ish, however, if it really becomes an issue (for me), then, I'll be looking at Trident as a potential solution to reduce under seat heat and maybe gain a bit in performance (from what I've read potentially/presumably less weight and a bit more hp)... and yes, I would welcome a stronger/nicer/deeper sound too haha... talking about heat, I've found that the ZG SR windscreen I recently installed does a way better job at keeping me cool than the Triumph-branded double bubble upgraded windscreen the prior owner put... I had two reasons for changing it, one, the buffeting (straight to my neck/chin) was pretty annoying, and two, cosmetically, it looked awful (to me).. this ZG SR is (or it seems to me) a bit lower/shorter than the OEM one (even though SR stands for Stock Replacement and as such it should be the same) and visually astonishing :-) totally loving it :-)

@Spacedave , never tried one, I'll add it to my list of maybes..

@Strumpeter , funny thing is that for the first 1k miles or so, I found it to be "too" upright, yet, I've got used to it and loving it - I doubt (though never say never) I'll add risers in the future.
As for the bling, in theory, I like it, yet, in practice, it never happens as my bikes are often too dirty :-( haha

@chickenstrip , I haven't forgotten you.. I'll post a picture this weekend (work has been crazy this week).

Replaced a previously drilled muffler (I'm assuming by the PO) with a good used take-off from eBay. Huge improvement in the sound! The old one reminded me too much of that noisy dirt bike they used in the first Terminator movie lol...

I got tired of the Meep Beep horn on the Yellow Banana and the Tiger so gave each a Fiamm Freeway Blaster horn which sounds like it fell off an old Buick. I just stuck both in the stock locations but am certainly open to suggestions.
The Tiger has it pointing forward under the fairing, the Sprint has it pointing down and back towards the radiator which may or may not be a good thing. I figure the sound will reflect off of the radiator so maybe it'll be okay.
I had to make up some longer leads for the Sprint, Tiger didn't require any extensions.

Managed to get my hands on an OE top case, mounting hardware, backrest and extra grab handle for $400 shipped. Infill is the wrong color but for now it'll do. I was just happy to get a top case that matches the sides, and at a pretty good price. I like the idea of the extra grab handle, should make swapping the case on and off a lot easier.
