Yes. A simple threaded rod used as a slide hammer. The hammer was a piece of lead w/ a hole in it.
The threaded rod was metric. The thread was not really fitting as far as I remember but it did the trick.
The drop link sleeve can be a beast to pull out. For an 09 Sprint it is a M14 fine thread bolt that threads into the sleeve (assume it would be the same size on the speed triple). If you have a 5 lb. slide hammer kit that includes two different size hub puller attachments they can be used to hold the M14 bolt, or weld the M14 bolt onto a slide hammer attachment.
My sleeve was so corroded that the slide hammer only worked after extracting the sleeve about half way using a nut on the M14 bolt. If pulling out with a nut/bolt you will need something to use as a spacer once the sleeve starts to pull out of the frame. A combination of a 22MM flat closed end wrench and crows foot will work. The Haynes manual shows a socket but the M14 bolt will not fit through a 1/2 drive socket.
I did the trick with the m14 bolt 1.5 thread pitch IIRC, sockets and washers and came out without much effort. Penetrating oil is a must.
