Thumbs up 2016+ Triumph Speed Triple R - Headlight conversion

Hey everyone, just purchased my 1st triumph and it's the 2016 Triumph Speed Triple R.

My ONLY compliant about it so far is I belong to the group who dislikes the headlights a-lot. The entire front end to be honest is hideous in my personal opinion. Something must be done about it.

Before I bite I wanted to see some pics of your 2016-2019 (specifically) headlight conversions as they are damn costly for the motodemic conversion.

Let's see them pics!

Thanks!

Converting headlights on the 2016 will be interesting. It has ram air intake and intergal fly screen. Earlier versions were easy.
I’d be surprised anyone has successfully done it. Good luck.

And the regulator/rectifier is attached underneath that area too. Major modifications would be required to put a different headlight assembly on the bike.

So is it basically near impossible?
Reason I ask is because I truly really want the 2005 S3 front look on my 2016 and knowing that it's extremely hard to do just sucks.

Motodemic has the single headlight conversion for the 2016.
So is it just the dual round headlight being an issue?

I don't know much about technical or mechanical stuff at all and so I'm curious as to why a single headlight conversion can work and a dual round headlight conversion can't and or is tough to do?

Thanks!

Anything can be done. It’s research and modification. There’s a bike that has to engines grafted into v8, so it can be done. I say do it.

When all else fails, get a bigger hammer!

I watched the Motodemic conversion for the Speed Triple on YouTube. It's showing the conversion for a 2011-2015 Speed Triple which doesn't have the incorporated fly screen/ram air duct or regular/rectifier attached as the 2016 and on models do. I'd contact them and ask if they have instructions for the later Speed Triple models. Then you could probably adapt those instructions to nearly any headlight setup.

They have it for 2016-2017 model here:
https://motodemic.com/shop/triumph-s...ht-conversion/

So again I’m not good with technical or mechanical things so how come this single headlight conversion works without those issues you guys mentioned?

And then why not dual round headlights then too?

Yes, it can be done and it looks amazing.
Check this bike out, one of the best looking IMHO.

Again, the YouTube video in that link is for the 2011-2015 S3. You need to find directions for the 2016+ S3.

Thanks RB! rpnp7, you should PM simpleTT and ask him if Motodemic provided directions for the install (even better if he still has them so he could provide them to you). And ask him if the entire headlight assembly/fly screen/ram air duct/regulator-rectifier comes off as one piece or in pieces and what he did for the ram air and regulator/rectifier.
