Customize my Speed Triple...

Hi all.
Just registered today - great site with great info!
Just bought the Matt Black Speed triple special edition and it's amazing!
Really want to trick it up over the winter:

Want to radically reduce the tail, plate holder lights, indicator.
Want to bin the factory exhausts and get either the arrow 3-1 system or something similar.
Straight bars.
Some different headlights.

I'd really appreciate some recomendations?

Not sure why you'd wanna get rid of the headlights.......they are probably the most defining trait of the Speed Triple. Kind of like CheapBastard's fat's what defines him.

Just sent you a PM, congrats on the colour. Matt black parts available from Jack Lilley, along with 1000 other things you will "need". I also put the R&G tail tidy on mine, well made and looks good

How about black ceramic coating the whole exhaust including headers? A few people on have done it and it looks great in matt black

You might also want to powder coat the radiator cowl and footrests/heelguards, sidestand and l/h top engine mount; thats my winter plan. Some have blacked up the forks, brakes and headlamp shells but I dont like the look personally

Had clip ons on my last S3, made the riding position much more "c'mon, is that all you've got", rode much faster everywhere. A ban earlier this year means I will keep the upright bars as I have had my self control bypass operation

Biggest fun to be had by adding noisy pipe, as long as you get the right tune. I have the Trident mufflers, F***ing loud but goes like a mad thing and cars hear you coming a mile off. I'm convinced it's a major contribution to road safety, as someone once said. My dog starts barking when I am about a mile from home, so not sure I would have fitted these in the UK, but here every car and bike has loud pipes (but mine are loudest)
