So I found a cheap 2nd hand system via Gumtree last week and got it Friday.

Cleaned the headers up as much as I could (with WD40 / Autosol) and then I installed it over the weekend.
The bike rides so much better now, much smoother and quieter than the OEM header / MIVV I had on the S3 before. I can really hear the induction now, wheres the MIVV was too loud for the induction to be heard. It looks much better IMO too. Quality is much better for sure.

I haven't changed the map or reset adaption yet and its currently on,

"OEM map 20489 (Speed Triple 1050 from VIN 461332 to 537880 Arrow slip-on Fuel up to E25 Minimum 95 RON (89 RON/MON) fuel, Australia, NZ and SA)"

I'll download the correct map,

"OEM map 20465 (Speed Triple 1050 from VIN 461332 to 537880 Arrow low level system Fuel up to E25 Minimum 95 RON (89 RON/MON) fuel)" to the ECU via TuneECU soon and see how that runs.

In the meantime, who else has a 2011 Speed Triple (or 2011-2016 for that matter) with the low boy system in Australia ?.Which map are you running and how do you find it ?. Have you experienced any issues with O2 sensor removal ?.

Cheers

Today I changed the OEM headlights to LEDs. Amazing difference during my 5:30am commute.

Bit of a fluff post here, trying to satisfy the 25 post minimum for classifieds access.

Resurrecting a not-so-bad salvaged 2009 speedy with 11k miles. Bought it non-running, had no gauges, broken hand controls, broken foot controls and dented tank. Got a set of used gauges and it fired up on 2nd try. Today I took the tank off and got the hand controls back on and bled the brakes, fixed the shifter side rear set, and took off the brake side rear set that doesn't seem like it can be saved - hence the need for classifieds access - so if anyone has a right side foot control mounting bracket and brake lever ;o). Hate to buy a set of rear sets just for the one side, besides, this bike is named "thrifty" so you get the idea. Have loved the speedy since I first saw one in the mid 90's, happy I've got one in the garage soon to be on the street. Can always tell a good bike by its bones

Just getting started with a motodynamic integrated tail light and mustardbikes tail tidy/fender eliminator.
The mustardbikes piece was the most discreet I could find. World of difference IMHO. Before and after:

Thanks Nicspeed. Any chance of a photo of where the spacer should go. Took a quick look but not too sure exactly what i need.

He's talking about the clamp circled in the picture. You can either remove it or use spacers so that the clamp isn't so tight on the wires Name: 20190312_144430.jpeg
