Bought as a basket case. Sat in a garage for 7 years. Actually in very nice shape, but all rubber is dry-rotted, leaking, etc... Reduced to frame and a pile of parts. This will be a long term project, working through the details at this time.
1999 Triumph Thunderbird 900 (Green/Gold)
Removed stock rims, replaced with Morad 17" rims, 5.5" rear, 3.5" front. Powder-coated rims black with stainless spokes. Laced and trued by Buchanan's.
Removed exhaust header pipes, mufflers, air box, carbs. Waiting on new Keihin FCR 39mm carbs from Sudco, separate air pods. Looking for exhausts like the excellent ones you see on the Mr. Martini TT900's he builds. Works of art.
Removed seat, handlebars, front and rear fenders, turn signals, horn. Replaced seat with solo cafe seat. Waiting on clip ons, re-cover seat in leather,
Removed forks, had rebuilt by RaceTech with cartridge emulators and brand-new fork legs (old ones were leaking and pitted). Powder-coated front forks black. Waiting on Hagon shock for the rear. Also, waiting to powder-coat triple tree in black as well. Currently grinding off ignition (not used any more) and other non-needed items.
Removed king/queen seat, forward controls, cruiser handle bars, etc..
