I was hoping for some help here....

I would really appreciate some input on my up coming trip. By now everyone knows I am doing the Four Corners Tour and the IBA 10000 in 10 days.
I was thinking of leaving Roswell NM and heading to San Ysidro, California; to Blaine, Washington to Madawaska, Maine to Key West, Florida. and back to Roswell NM.
I am familiar with the East Coast. I really would apprecaite some suggestions on heading from the bottom of Ca. to Washington. I have no idea on what roads are the best.
Also florida and key west...a lttle there as well.

I am doing a tirp this weekend and will look at any info when I get back....Thank you Lee

Only one road into and out of Key West Lee, it was a 128 mile long, 40 mp/h procession of tourists, RV's and very active LEO's when I was there.
On the up side, it was quite pretty.

It will hurt you time wise.
Might depend on what time of day you tackle it though.

The rest of Southern Florida I have no clue on, Dave and I took the scenic slow route when I was down there.

I'm assuming you want a scenic route Lee, and you're not one of those Four-Corners record-setting types??

If so, an amble to Coronado should definitely be on your 'to-do' list, hopefully some of the San Diego members can also add some other worthwhile stops (like SeaWorld & Legoland!!) as SD really is a lovely city.
I would then recommend heading north out of San Diego on I-15, then take Hwy 74 (Ortega Highway) back towards the ocean to bring you into southern Orange County....it's a legendary biking road for all types of bikers.
Then I'd suggest you head south for just a couple of miles to Pacific Coast Highway, which will take you up the coast just about as far as you want to go...all the way to Washington, should you choose.

I'll have a think and come up with some other ideas.

The the "1" out of LA and eventually the "101" are spectacular all the way to Washington.

Let me know when you expect to be down in FL, hopefully I can take a few days off and with a couple of Rocket IIIs we can scare the natives...
