The Focus Looks to be on Performance Triumph’s Bobber already performed pretty well, much better than many people expected. Now the company is working on an updated model. Motorcycle News, recently shared a bunch of photos of the new bike and discussed the updates spotted on it. First up, the fork was replaced with a ...
How tall is the guy in the pic? Holly crap, that looks uncomfortable, and the wrong bike for him. How do you even stick a knee out when your forearms are resting on the outside of your knees? :laugh2: hell, how does he even do slow maneuvers and U-turns?
And why upside down forks? They not just look out of place; the Speed Twin is proof of how unnecessary they are on bikes like these. Surely a fuel that holds more than 8 litres would have been more important.
The top box, mounting and loom running towards the engine are identical to the set up showing how they test bikes on display at the Triumph Visitor Centre, so it looks to be genuine Triumph.
Of course, the point of testing a bike is to determine if it should be released and is fit for release so it's quite possible that this may never appear at the dealership (though using the same logic, it may well do)
A lot of wires running into that top box. Looks to my eyes to be a data acquisition rig on a test mule platform built on a bobber. You're guess is a good as mine as to what is actually being tested. From the looks of those forks they are probably testing several different items that might be destined for several different bikes.
There’s a ton of wires running along the frame to the awkward looking top box, which leads me to believe it’s heavily instrumented. Very little else in the picture makes much sense to my uneducated eye.
The box is full of instrumentation for recording data while testing the bike.
