Gasket Templates

Here are 2 zip files full of TIFF files for use as templates for making gaskets. The material used for more recent Triumph gaskets is called InterFace TS-9013. It is probably better to use original Triumph gaskets than to attempt to make your own from these templates, but it is probably better to make some from gasket paper & these templates than to use some sort of liquid goop. To the best of my recollection, these should be printed out at 150 DPI & 100% without resampling.

These files are my own creation; I explicitly grant the license to use them to anyone involved in working on T3 motors.

Cheers,

gaskets

Thanks Kit - great resource and hope I never need most of them.

The outline of the countershaft sproket cover gasket is most useful. have printed all and will put in cold storage. Now I wonder if you can put gasket paper through a photocopier - best tried at work!

Thanks and regards- Kiwigeoff:D

Interesting idea... I don't know if you can get gasket paper in cut-sheet sizes, but you could surely cut it down....

Anyway... According to Wikipedia, the fuser in a laser printer / copier generates temperatures as high as 392* F. InterFace TS-9013 is spec'ed for peak temps of 550* F.

You can blame it on me if anything goes wrong. :D

Steve, InterFace TS-9013 is a gasket material made by InterFace Sealing Solutions. I haven't the foggiest idea where one might buy it. I am also fairly certain that just about any gasket paper will do for the short term, and anything that matches the specs linked above will do for the long term.

Thats a great resource, Kit, thanks for going to the trouble, as I recall, many years back I trained as a mechanic and we used a ball peign hammer to shape the gasket paper around the actual component that you are sealing, you have to be very gentle though ! much better to have the items drawn for you like they are here. If youre using the photocopier at work to print this stuff off you might have to experiment with the reduce/enlarge button as I doubt that it will print exactly 1;1 scale but I might be wrong.

Sweet! Thanks for the followup, Nobeard! :D

BTBM- Any modern printer (or even copier) should do 1:1 / 100% no problem. There are designers out there who would go on killing sprees over half a percentage point of reduction or enlargement!

IIRC, there should be some overlap if it's a multi-page scan. Not sure what else to say; it may not be perfect. My plan was to spray-glue regular prints to the gasket paper, then cut out; I didn't even think of printing directly onto the gasket paper until someone else mentioned it.

If all else fails, I wonder if you couldn't lay the cover flat on the gasket material and wallop it with a rubber hammer...

Thanks for stepping up, Dave!

PB, not sure what to say. I just re-downloaded the files and verified that they work on my system, maybe you need to update your zip software?
