Can anybody advise on how to solve this issue please? Thanks and regards, Alistair.
Which version of Windows are you running? Device manager sees the cable, correct?

I'm getting a ecu not responding error as well.

2011 street triple
Amazon cable confirmed correct chipset with FT prog
Windows xp with .net framework 1.1, 2.0, 3.0, 3.5, 4
Tune ecu 2.5.7
Tried driver versions 32 bit cdm 2.08.24 and 2.12.18
Battery connected to tender, 20a fuse pulled, kill switch in run, gear is neutral.

I just keep getting ecu not responding. Any suggestions? I'm stuck

Figured it out. Needed to pull the 5a fuse too. My trickle charger isn't enough charge for tune ecu.

Finally connected and I think the oem arrow map I have on the bike is exactly the same as the one I downloaded from the site. 20590. Can anyone Confirm this? We're there any changes that would make a difference?

I'm at a loss.

I've used TuneECU before, with my last laptop that has since died, and the cheap $10 cable.

Loaded TuneECU v2.5.7 into my new laptop running Windows 10 and my old cable will not connect to the bike. Kept getting the "ECU not responding". So I bought a brand new Lonelec cable that arrived today.

Not sure about the drivers. I have a CDM v2.12.10 WHQL Certified downloaded into my computer. That sound right?

But everything I have read states that with Windows 10 "your lead should automatically install".

"To check if installed correctly select Device Manager". It's there, showing up as USB Serial Port (Com3) just like it is supposed to.

What am I missing?

Do I need to delete all of it and start over? it's driving me crazy.

It was probably the same problem mine had. Hook your bike up to a car battery and see if it reads the ecu then. Should work

And with TuneECU running check to make sure under Options\Interface, that "USB" is selected and not "Serial". A while ago mine unexpectedly flipped to 'serial', don't know why, and I started getting messages can't connect check cable etc.

Check the driver. Did Windows 8 choose the existing driver ? With the cable plugged into the USB port on the PC, go: Control Panel - Device Manager - Ports (COM & LPT) - USB Serial Port (COM4) - Properties - Driver. What is the "Driver Version" showing ? According to TuneECU for Windows 8/8.1 it should be one of: Vers.2.08.28_64bit, CDMv2_08_30WHQL_Certified, CDMv2.10.00WHQL_Certified, CDMv2_12_00WHQL_Certified, CDMv2.12.06WHQLCertified, CDMv2.12.16WHQLCertified.

Failing that it might be time to send that cable back and get a Lonelec.

Think your right.... Left bike on Battery Tender overnight, showing 12.6V on the voltmeter. Connected first try.

Came back little while later to proof it wasn't a fluke, would not connect. Voltmeter showing 12.3.

This was a "test " so didn't pull any fuses or attach the Tender. Will test again later.

Thanks for the help.
