To be or not to be.....that is my question.

I currently track a Ducati 800ss which I love. I picked up a sprint RS....free...and rebuilt with some help from the fine folks here. Thought about tracking it as well but am in a rabbit hole with the availability of some fine mid 2000’s Daytona’s at very reasonable prices. My question is do I sell Duc and sprint for a Daytona and track that? My annual mileage consists of 3-5 track days each at about 100 miles of... well... spirited riding to say the least, and about 4-7k road miles. Since I’ve had the RS I have been using that mostly on the road and only ride the Ducati on the track. Ideally I would prefer to have all three. And actually would have lots more if i could. What do you guys think? Two for one? Or stick with what I’ve got. Looking for some input from owners of 2006-2008 Daytona’s that have done some track time, setup, things to expect, common maintenance issues and the like. Thanks

955i Daytonas were available until 2006, from then on "Daytona" always meant Daytona 675, which is way more modern, much lighter, for sure more fun on trackdays, but without the big bike´s torque, that makes it such a breeze on open roads. Choices ...

Edit: I had a Sprint RS myself. While the bike was big fun on open roads she was an overweight turd on the track. Old 600 supersports rode circles around us.

Thanks Andrewb,As much as I love the 955 and have seen all the insides rebuilding the one I have I was thinking of moving to the 675 for suspension/chassis upgrades narrow stature and other track goodies. I agree with El Capitan , not from a track point of view but this past weekend I did 300 miles on twisty rt 22 in eastern New York and as much as the exhaust note from the 955 is intoxicating, it wasn’t flickable. It has the power for sure, somewhere north of 50hp more than my Ducati, but they are VERY different machines. If I had the money I would grab the limited production moto2 inspired 765.... but I wouldn’t even be able to come close to taking advantage of what that bike has to offer.
