Converting to LED Turn Signals

Hi Everyone, I just purchased a 98 T595 Daytona (I already have an 07 Speedy) and may want to replace the turn signals with LED's. Can anyone confirm...Will LED turn signals work with properly if you simply replace the flasher relay with a LED unit (such as the CF13GL02)? Or are other wiring modifications needed?

I know that's all that was needed on my speed triple. Not sure on the older bikes though.

Thanks in advance.

You also need a mod to the instrument cluster warning light
(any common rectifier diode will do)
If you don't do this mod, all 4 signals will flash regardless of which side you select

Bummer!!! I'll just stick with regular bulbs....I'll spend that time riding it!

Thank you for the information though. Maybe a winter project.

I put a set of these on and they have worked perfect without any major rewiring. Pretty much plug and play

@AdventureJunkie - with the 97-01 it needs the diode mod (or below).

@$hporty - you can alternatively add parallel load resistors (in which case you can keep the OEM relay) - but the diode mod is not that difficult.

@DEcosse Thanks for the info. It doesn't look difficult. I just got this bike so I'm trying to focus just on getting up to speed mechanically. Pretty cool bike I must say.
