Triumph breakers

Hi Guys,

Does anyone know of a UK breaker who specialises in Triumphs?
I am after a crank for a 2002 Daytona CE, part number 1101101.

Thanks in advance.

It would be cheaper and a lot less work to buy a complete engine of ebay or elsewhere, caskets etc cost a fortune. Did the end break off your crank I've had it happen to a 02 sprint. If it has its not just the crank that's damaged, if it was spinning when it broke valves will have hit the pistons.

Hi Paul,

Yes, the end has snapped off.
It was spinning when it broke, but it I was only about to pull away when it stopped and just felt like I had stalled it. Have checked the valves and it doesn't look like they have toched the pistons fortunately. I'm going to leak test the valves this weekend.

I have already bought an engine off eBay and that turned out to have a faulty gearbox.
Unfortunately, nobody on eBay will give any proof of mileage, so you don't know what you are buying.
My bike is the CE model which I have owned since it was a couple of years old, looked after meticulously and it only has about 23k on the clock, so would like to keep it original.
At least if I rebuild the engine, I will know it is all good.

Thanks for your advice.
