So, my rear turn signal stalks are broken and the Gorilla tape has only held them together long enough for a better fix. Rather than go to LEDs and rewire the dash indicator (or worse, use those stupid resistors), I decided to retrofit some old Yamaha flashers left over from another project, but they look a bit big and might hit the high-exhaust can on the bike.
Hmmmm.... I have some old turn signals from a Tomos scooter my daughter wrecked years ago. The turn signals are almost identical to those on the Triumph, same brand ("eie" or "ele"), same lenses, almost the same body, but they mount differently. While that little Tomos had zero power, didn't go over 25mph, and handled like a squirrely bicycle, it could be fun to ride. But speaking as an engineer, that Slovenian-built Tomos was about the poorest quality piece of crap I have ever owned, including those crappy turn signals.
I'm going to figure out how to fit the Yamaha turn signals, or something else. >
