Selling my Bonnie and good bye

Hello everybody

I decided to part with my 1979 Triumph T140E after more than 3 years of careful use and tidy maintenance.
Overall, the bike is in good original condition and working fine.

I would like to say thank you to all forum members who kindlly gave me good advices and friendly support to my inquiries when I needed help to sort out the bike.

Un grand merci ŕ toi StuartMac pour ton aide précieuse et ton immense savoir sur les anciennes Triumph.

Here is a link to a small video posted on You Tube showing my bike:

The bike is a pending sale, someone already made a reservation.

Good Bye to you all

Twins or triples , I like them anyway

Goodbye Frederic,
Someone will purchase a beautiful and very well looked after bike, they are lucky.

I must admit that I quite liked the idea that there was a little bit of England still in Aquitaine (post 1453), but I suppose all things change.

Take good care of yourself, it has been a pleasure meeting you online.

Best Regards
Peg.

Sorry to see you go Frederic, it was fun to write with you.

Responses like Peg’s and everyone else too is why I fell in love with the BVI 25 years ago, drive a Land Rover and ride a Triumph. Doesn’t hurt that I’m related to this guy

Look around you it’s not every day you find such a group of characters the the lot here. Knowledgeable, Intelligent, witty smartazz rouges. Frankly I’d bet Peg could tell you to “Go to Hell” in such a way if she was inclined to that you’d look forward to the journey. Fair winds Frederic

From a new member who trawled the forum before deciding to join I found your threads really interesting Frederic. The cylinders that went back and forth for honing and then on and off the bike to get the push rod tube seals right. I admire your patience and it looks like it all paid off, the bike looks and sounds wonderful!

Adieu but don’t rule out old triumph ownership in the future, you might be back.

No one really leaves Bonnie ownership. It always leads to another one day. Cheers.
