It would be necessary to check if needle jet is the right size in offending carbs, a guy on triplesonline found them being off in new Premiers.

Good to see you bought a new HD! The Fatbob looks like a nice bike. Your Triumph will feel like a little toy after riding that!

Hi Adam M
thanks for the reply. That was one of the problems. 200 instead 190s that original carbs had for mains but the needle jets were ok 106. This was no fault of Amal to be fair. I ordered originally direct from AMAL but the right was out of stock so changed the order to Lowbrow customs who had both. Did not check the jetting and was too excited fitting them to check again and carry out due diligence after unwrapping the babies!! Another lesson learned!
