When might 2020 model year changes be announced?

I am really hot for a Tiger 800 right now, especially with the promotion, but the freakin' arthritis in my hands has me hoping for a hydraulic clutch for 2020. I have been to my local dealer numerous times and the 2019 Tiger 800 has a much firmer clutch than any of the Scrambler or Thruxton models which are also cable operated. The 1200 is also an improvement and I assume the hydraulic clutch on that bike has a servo assist.

If the 2020 models are announced with no changes I may jump on a NOS 2018 if one is still available but I am new to Triumph and don't know when they typically announce new model year changes. With most manufacturers, no change models are on the way to dealers right now if not already there. So in this sense, no news may be good news.

So does anyone know when Triump typically announces changes for a given model year?

Thanks.

NC

I donít know about the rest of the lineup but my new Bonneville T120 is a 2020 model according to the VIN. The 10th digit is an L which makes it a Ď20. I assumed it was. Ď19 since itís the 60th anniversary Diamond edition.

Triumph typically announces new models, gear, accessories, etc. at the annual Dealer meetings in September (at least in the U.S.). You'll then see some of those new things in the spring after production ramps up.

Now is the winter of our discount tent.

I was browsing the Triumph site and came across a new colour for the T120; they call it storm grey and baja orange. Even saw that the Tiger 1200 XRT now comes in a matte black and lucerne blue.

Maybe a few cosmetic updates are already out?

I will try to give this thread a bump... since like most forums it has gone to sleep over the past year. (what up with that, btw?)

I am holding on another bike purchase while the facts around this one get sorted:

First in line if it is as good as it sounds

This thread was only started two months prior to your post. Not quite a year however a bump was good.
