What's in your bag ?

I am really bad about not carrying things for emergency repairs. I have little excuse. Maybe I am over confident. Maybe I am just too lazy to get my sh### together. What do you guys carry in your saddle bag/ tank bag, whatever just in case ? ...J.D.

Ride safe,

A Leatherman Skeletool, a 6” Knipex Pliers Wrench, a folding set of metric hex keys, and a tire pressure gauge. If I ever get in a situation where that can’t keep me going I’ll rely on my iPhone and the stuff in my wallet which includes a AAA card with roadside coverage and motorcycle towing.

BTW, I modified the folding hex key set by removing the sizes that aren’t needed and replacing them with the torx sizes that are needed, so it’s now a folding hex/torx key set that will fit just about everything on the Bonne.

Almost forgot: On extended trips I also carry a small (5.5 oz) can of Maxima Chain Wax. I used to carry a spare headlamp bulb too, but now my bike has an LED headlamp in it.

I keep a rain suit, those useless Triumph pannier rain covers, a clear bubble shield, a Cruztools tool kit and a disc lock distributed between my saddlebags. (My cell phone is usually in a jacket pocket.)

Clearview windshield, Triumph Cruise Control Kit DRL Type 2, Pazzo levers, JW Speaker Evo 2 LED headlamp, Booster Plug, Triumph LED indicators, 4 bar tank badges, chrome throttle body, clutch and inspection covers.

If riding my Daytona 955i:
Credit Card, Drivers Licence, RACQ Card (Automobile Club)

If riding my Sprint GT 1050:
Cargol screw in & go Tyre repair kit with 5 C02 bottles, Leatherman multitool, reading glasses, wallet, damp micro-fibre cloth in small ziplock bag, 350ml water bottle with insulated outer jacket, small thin hand towell.

On the GT I have one of those nifty Enduristan waterproof tail packs I have attached to the rear carry rack, everything goes in there except the Leatherman that lives in the locked front fairing glove box compartment.

Chapman motorcycle set for short trips, some slime, CO2 + sockets and spanners in a tool roll for longer trips.

Kinda depends if I have panniers on.

It's always this way, except when it isn't.

A small cargo net, holds my laptop if I ride to work, or leftovers if I eat out. Night glasses, sun block, and Ibuprofen.

Tire pressure gauge. Not much you can do to a Thunderbird on the roadside.
