Thinkin about maybe replacing tire

Well guys wanna avoid problems so thinking time to replace my tire. I have a gift certificate for the local Hawgly Davidson dealer & ain't got no Hawgs so This would be my chance to use it. Thing is my tires are Metzlers & their option in my size would be Dunlop. Now Ive heard shouldn;t mix n match brands but not sure thats a REAL thing. What U say??

Nothing wrong with dunlops, might be a bit overkill to mount a harley tire designed for half a ton of motorcycle though. No problem mixing brands either. Best combo so far is what i have now, metzeler roadtec z8 rear and avon roadrider front. Would probably be even better with a roadtec up front as well. Sides are very sticky with a harder patch in the middle.

Steve, those Harley friends of yours are a bad influence!
Whats your front tire like? I assume nothing like the rear but if you're looking for a new front I have a Metzler lasertech(in stock size for your bike) that was sent to me by mistake and the dealer told me to keep it, if you need a front and want it it's yours. Real easy to get it to you, let me know.

Sure! my front is getting down there. Yah wish they would have stopped me sooner. Lot of avoidable damage happened last 5 seconds
