Tuneecu Mapping

Hello,

Can an ECU be mapped on one Thruxton 900 then unplugged and shipped to run on another Thruxton 900? And/or do people ship out their ECU's to be programmed then returned with a new map? I thought there might be adaptation issues or other.

Thank you

As long as the mods for each bike are the same, or both standard bikes then yes, Triumph Twin Power offer a mapping services for their bought maps, you could also start bike and let run for 20mins for it to do adaption
I once has a 955i which had an issue with ecu, bought a used one off eBay fitted straight in and ran with no issues

In addition to what Ade-955i said, an ECU for a mechanical odometer model and a LCD odometer model can't be swapped, they need to correct for each model.

Unfortunately I can confirm that .

I bought a used ECU with a view to loading it with the standard map, my bike is now due for inspection every year which means a lot of my mods have to be swapped back to standard, the ECU TTP map included.

I reasoned that rather than go through the re-mapping process I'd just swap ECUs for the Inspection and emissions test.

My bike is a 2009 with mechanical speedo and I found a used ECU from a 2010 model (with LCD speedo) for a good price so I sent for it. The bike won't even run with it and TuneECU tells you that no map can be loaded as it's the wrong ECU for the bike...

I'm now looking for an older ECU to swap with. The used one comes with the following info/map on its label:

Part number: T1290618
Tune: 20506 (although Tune ECU reads map 20446 when connected)

The original one I'm looking for (for my mech speedo bike) should read at least the part number as below:

Part number: T1292106
Tune: originally 20187 (now loaded with TTP's 20333.ttp)

Hey Guys,

Fortunately I am programming on a 2013 Thruxton to be installed on a 2015 Thruxton... Both LCD with identical mods.

Thank you all,

Rats
