Lambda sensor delete? or not?

Forgive me if this has been asked, I HAVE searched the exhaust sticky until my eyes hurt!
Just got my new Bonnie T100 2014, Am going to put a pair of TEC 2:2 complete exhausts on. (+ ai removal),
my question is.. do you re-fit the lambda sensors? or do you blank the holes in the headers?
& if you do..... then what do you do with the sensors? & do you need to get into the ecu to stop engine light?
Hope that makes sense!
Best regards

You will need two plugs for the AI and two for the manifold when removing the O2 sensors. Adding the Tec exhaust will help the exhaust end, particularly with the baffle out, but also look at the intake options for improved air supply, such as airbox removal. Once all done recommend you go with the appropriate TTP tune. These accommodate your performance mods/changes and reprogramming the ecu will take full advantage of them. Without reprogramming the ECU, you will get a check engine light and the bike won't run properly after the mods.

Tune ECU is available for free, but you need to know what you are doing, so recommend the custom tunes available from TTP. Lots to read on this forum and on the TTP site. Worth doing a bit of homework to plan ahead and maximize your bike's performance at any given cost.

Contact TTP and let them know what exhaust and intake mods you are planning on. They will tell you which one of their tunes will work best with your setup.

Is the TTP tune a better/easier option than Tuneecu? (I'm not a tech genius

Yes. You can get the TTP tune specific to your set up. If in doubt, email them your set-up and they will advise. Takes all the guess work out and will also address the Check Engine Light issue. When it comes to the download you will need a Windows pc/laptop (may be an Android phone version too) and the connecting chord to load it onto the ECU. Sounds a bit daunting, but follow the instructions to a T and you will be good!

As I mentioned earlier, it is best to complete all mods before the tuning, so you can get the right tune installed that addresses the final state of the engine mods. The mods themselves are covered extensively on this site. The TTP tune site also has a number of graphs helping to guide the strategy you adopt, and your likely target expected increase in power.

Good luck. Thruxty

I would add that you probably shouldn't ride it after you do the mods until you get the ECU remapped. You may be ok to ride it with just the exhaust swapped with the baffles in, but if you remove the baffles then you need to remap.

Did the TEC exhaust not come with plugs for the O2 holes? I found a good source of plugs that will work for cheap, can dig up the thread if you don't find it on a search.

Hi Thruxty, took your advice, & have been in touch with Mike at TTP, he's recommended some stuff, & the right tune!
Just got to pay for it now!
Gone for Tec 2:2 short system, with a stage 1 torque intake, & green clutch springs.
Am considering the safe-start system too
Thanks again for your input :)& Mr72 Further details to come! :)
