Wide Rear Wheel Kit...for mag owners

I just ordered the billet wide rear wheel kit for my ‘13 Bonneville SE from Canyon Motorcycles & I am very excited. I’ve been looking to replace the skinny looking rear tire for at least 2 years now but never found a good option. I did a lot of research and the option I saw for my Mag wheel Bonneville was to swap over to the spokes. In that case, I would have to get both wheels replaced. With the billet wheels from Canyon Motorcycles, I can get away with replacing just the rear with the option to replace the front if/when I wanted. I called and spoke to Adrian from Canyon and he told me his wheels are complete kits that come with everything you need, including an offset front sprocket so you can run the correct alignment and chain guide spacer. The best thing about it is that the wheels weigh significantly less than the OEM wheels, a big reduction on rotational mass. I plan to do a full write up that includes photos of the unboxing and install once I get the wheel (which will be in about a month or so). I really wish I knew about these wheels last year when I was seriously considering a wheel upgrade, so the write up is gonna be for people interested in keeping the mag wheel look (no offense to the spoke wheel guys) but also want a wider rear wheel.

There's no denying that the wheels are pricey, but for a mag wheel owner like me, it really is the best option. ill definitely let everyone know if it was worth it when the wheel arrives in a month or so.

Yeah, but at $3900 for the set [front and rear], I am thinking that a standard rear hub laced up with a 6" rim, and a 1200cc twin front end from a wreck would be a cheaper viable alternative? I just think they are pricing themselves out of the market for the general rider/modifier. I'd need a sponsor :).
