The stainless sleepers on my mag wheel are by far the best classic sounding in my opinion. They are perfect in terms of loudness but definitely get blown away by the predators, D+D , and anything that is on a Harley that is not stock. I also have a TTP tune and pods.

I really like my TOR's. I'm not to sure what your budget is or how loud you want to get. Before I went with the TOR's I was gonna go with some Emgo reverse cone shorty mufflers. They're about 16 inches or so and will run you anywhere between 50 and 60 bucks a piece on Ebay or Dime City Cycles. I've used them on some old Honda CB's and have liked them. Check YouTube for some videos of them on Bonnevilles, I'm sure there are some on there. It's a small investment and I'm sure if they are to quiet, put them on the classifieds here and someone would probably buy them from you. Good luck!

Echoing all of the other comments on Sleepers.....

I just switched to an old set of Sleepers that I bought used for my T100.

The sound is awesome and seems to pull stronger up to the redline.

I have not adjusted the map or SAI/O2 yet, but it runs better already and sounds way better. I did do the reset adaptation.

I just keep my revs low around the house to keep the neighbors happy.

Also, the Sleepers look amazing on a Bonneville....what an improvement over the big OEM tubes.

emgo cafe mufflers if you don't want to break the bank. these might be more on the obnoxious side tho, but i love em.

D&D exhaust, I put 'em on mine (2:2), very throaty and loud, if that's what you really want.
Regarding the decel pop, assuming the AI is removed already; you will need to rejet. I did with a Dynojet kit, no pops.

You cannot "remap" a carburetted bike. As I said, this is just part of a carburetted bike. You can lessen the popping a bit by keeping the ignition clean and healthy, but carburation does not have the precise fuel control efi does. Just the nature of the beast. ...J.D.

This happens a lot. There ought to be a law against starting a help me thread and then never getting back to the fine folks trying to help out.

Forchetto used to grumble about that. Somebody would start a " how do I fix this problem" thread then the good Doctor would respond with an intricate and precise remedy and the original poster(s) just never followed up with a thank you or a "yeah that worked" post. It's criminal.
