I run the Joker narrow serrated pegs on my street tracker. 100% on-road set-up. What I like about serrated pegs, that came as a surprise to me, is their comfort. The serrations allow me to shift my feet back and forth catching either the toe or heel of the boot while still giving me a firm planted feel. That little flexing of the knees is all I need on a long ride.

Where I to build an actual off-road bike (more than just running over my neighbor's rose garden), I'd opt for PivotPegz. You know, from -my- favorite vendor.

That actually isn't directly a footpeg issue, more a fastener corrosion issue? And it's a weird one? Must be trapping corrosives. And to do that on a relatively new bike is even stranger?

As far as the footpegs themselves and the shyst materials..., well..., Forchetto glaringly omitted the "sarcasm" face from his post about them being hunky dory. BTW..., I do believe every dory I've been in sank because of shyst materials (rotten bottoms), so..., take that for what it's worth...
