Scrambler headlight improvement?

What do people replace the stock headlight bulb with for better performance? I have a trip coming up and the stock headlight/lens bulb don't offer much

Was going to add aux lights but wanted to see if the bulb and/or lens can improvements are enough...

Thanks

I mounted a candle to the front of my Scrambler and noticed a vast improvement over the stock lamp.

The lense of the Scrambler just plain sucks. I have been hoping that they would come out with an updated lense on the newer bikes but I dont think its going to happen.

I had tried a PIAA unit and it was better but it still didnt reach out into the darkness. I ended up with an Osram unit from Daniel Stern lighting and it is an improvement. It projects a white light, not the blueish output of most other aftermarket lamps. I still run a couple of 55W floods to give me a little better view but I plan to upgrade to a 7" unit sometime soon. I guess they never test rode the Scrambler at night before putting it in production?

lots of threads on that, a direct connect as sold by easternbeaver improves any bulb and allows a hotter bulb, stock plastic reflectors are not the best either

That won't fit a Scrambler bucket.

So there's no aftermarket reflector and lens that will fit a Scrambler headlight?

Not that i know of. Best thng to do is a 7 inch headlight, gives you many more options.
