I got a new helmet

It mounts vertically on the left bottom shock bolt.

It's the stock 3.5" wheel.

Modified a pair of new Halcyon 8305 (black chrome) mirrors to fit on my son's 2012 Bonneville SE with stock bars.

To mount them I had to turn the diameter of the aluminum "wedge" assembly down to fit the smaller inside diameter of the stock bars. The bigger challenge was to modify the wedge system length to be something under 0.530", which is the depth that the stock bars have a plug with an M5 x 0.7 internal thread for the stock bar ends. I cut the "middle" wedge in half, then milled the 20 angle back on the "mirror mount" piece to get a combined length of 0.535" to 0.540". This allows the two 20 angle pieces to still mate and act as a wedge when the M6 clamp screw is tightened. Oops...yeah I had to drill out the M5 threads and tap it to M6 x 1.0 threads. No problem, except I'll to modify the stock bar ends if he should ever want to go back to using them.

These are nice because if he prefers below the handlebar positioning, they just swing down. If he needs them narrower they pivot in, or out if he's viewing elbows.

Girlfriend and I rode hour n half up north. We were late, so riding highway speeds at night looking for deer wasn't too fun but we made it. I'll have to sell these Castle Kickback saddlebags because they don't have enough mount points against the racks. And they're only rated for 5 lbs per bag... I'm glad she fit with them on but they're really lacking.

I also learned we both want a better seat! I don't know that I want a King and Queen due to looks, because I still want a BC Slammer brown for my general seat.
