Question accurate speedo

"The 19 tooth seems to have zero effect on normal riding, acceleration and ability to hold speed - the speedometer is finally dead on accurate according to the GPS, throughought all normal riding speeds."

Why am I thinking that a speedo driven off the front tire should not be affected (accuracy wise) by changing gear ratios between the engine and driven wheel ????

Just can't keep those grey 'ammo can' rear peg brackets and sprocket cover!

Unclescratch- you are thinking entirely correct for a bike that has the speedo driven off of the front wheel. The later bikes (somewhere around 2011? Not sure of the year) went to an electronic speedometer that interprets bike speed based on the rpm of the transmission output shaft using a magnetic sensor ... so changing the final gearing also affects the speedo.
