Head boxed up and on its way to Joe at DWMS racing. After working it through with Joe, I decided to stick with stock valve sizes so the head will be getting: porting the intake and exhaust ports, opening and port
matching the valve seats, cleaning the combustion chambers, polishing the valves, and a competition valve job.
I'll be getting a custom Cometic head gasket at a to be determined thickness (depending on whether the head has to be milled at all).
Scored a deal on a rack of gsxr FCR39's at almost $500 less than a new rack from Sudco. Spacing is very similar to the TBS and I think I can lob off a bank and mess with the spacing to get it right. If not, at the price I got it, I can easily sell on eBay.
